FAQs

Can I register my child for childcare partway through the year?

Absolutely! Openings may become available throughout the calendar year depending on your preferred days and hours of care, as well as your child’s age. We encourage you to complete a registration so we can keep your information on file and contact you should a suitable space become available. We would love to welcome your family to Mighty Minds Montessori!

Do You Receive Government Funding?

No, we do not receive any government funding. Families pay their monthly childcare fees out-of-pocket.

Our fees reflect the quality and value of the care we provide, including comprehensive Montessori-based educational programming, experienced and dedicated educators, and a safe, nurturing environment that supports each child’s individual growth, development, independence and love of learning.

Although we do not receive government funding, eligible Canadian families may claim childcare expenses on their annual Income Tax and Benefit Return. The Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) allows deductions of up to $8,000 per year for each child under 7 years of age and up to $11,000 per year for each child eligible for the Disability Tax Credit. These deductions may help offset the overall cost of childcare, depending on individual eligibility and tax circumstances.

With eligible childcare tax deductions, families may find that the cost of private Montessori childcare and quality early learning is more affordable than they anticipated.

For more information about eligibility and childcare expense deductions, visit the Canada Revenue Agency – Child Care Expenses.
